Larry Oakley Dixon, 73, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Friday, July 1, 2016.

He was a member of East Tenth Street Church of Christ, where he was active in the Men's Fellowship. Larry also was a black belt in Karate.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Whitley Dixon.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at East Tenth Street Church of Christ with James Douglas officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday, July 3, 2016 from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at East Tenth Street Church of Christ.
